IASify — Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 11-09-2026 Last Updated: 11-09-2026
Welcome to IASify. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and IASify ("IASify," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the IASify website, mobile application(s), and all related services (collectively, the "Platform" or "Services"). IASify is a privately operated educational platform owned and operated by Yuvraj, an individual based in India. “IASify” is the brand/platform name used by the operator.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and any other individuals who access or use the Platform in any capacity.
1.2. Your continued use of the Platform following any update to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, your sole remedy is to stop using the Platform and, if applicable, delete your account.
1.3. If you are using the Platform on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.

3. Eligibility
3.1. Age requirement. You must be at least 13 years old to create an Account. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and consents to your use of the Platform.
3.2. Legal capacity. By using the Platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.
3.3. One Account per person. You may not create or maintain more than one Account. Multiple accounts controlled by the same individual (including accounts used to manipulate matchmaking, ratings, or leaderboards) are prohibited and may result in suspension of all associated Accounts.
3.4. Accuracy of information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep such information updated.
4. Account Registration and Security
4.1. Accounts are created and authenticated via Google Sign-In (OAuth) or such other authentication mechanisms as IASify may introduce from time to time.
4.2. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account, whether or not authorized by you.
4.3. You must notify IASify immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account or any other breach of security.
4.4. IASify is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your Account credentials.
4.5. IASify reserves the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any Account at its discretion, subject to Section 17 (Suspension and Termination).
5. Nature of the Service; No Affiliation with UPSC
5.1. Independent, private platform. IASify is an independently operated, privately built educational and competitive practice platform. IASify is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to UPSC, the Government of India, or any other government body, examination authority, or official coaching institute, notwithstanding the use of "CSE"-related terminology, subject names, or exam-style formatting on the Platform.
5.2. Reference use only. Any reference to UPSC, the Civil Services Examination, or related terminology on the Platform is used solely to describe the subject matter of the practice content offered and does not imply any official relationship, certification, or endorsement.
5.3. Educational and practice purposes only. The Platform is intended solely to help aspirants practice and self-assess. It is not a substitute for official UPSC notifications, syllabi, examination patterns, or study material, all of which may change without corresponding updates to the Platform. Users are solely responsible for verifying current examination information directly from official UPSC sources.
6. No Guarantee of Results
6.1. IASify makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, that use of the Platform will result in improved examination performance, qualification, selection, or any other outcome in the UPSC Civil Services Examination or any other examination.
6.2. Ratings, rankings, accuracy percentages, and other in-Platform metrics are relative measures of performance within the Platform only and are not predictive of, or equivalent to, actual examination performance.
6.3. Any testimonials, success stories, or similar content that may be displayed on or in connection with the Platform reflect individual experiences and do not guarantee similar results for any other User.
7. Description of Services
The Platform currently offers, among other things:
- Arena / Ranked Battles — real-time, timed 1-v-1 question battles across a "Whole Syllabus" mode and individual subject modes (History, Polity, Geography, Economics), each with its own independently tracked Rating.
- Practice Mode — self-paced, untimed or timed practice sessions built from the shared Question Bank, a User's Personal Questions, and/or saved questions, with no Rating impact.
- Daily Current Affairs Quiz — a daily quiz drawing on current news, compiled and generated using a combination of third-party news sources and automated content-generation tools, including artificial intelligence (see Section 11).
- Ratings, Leaderboards, XP and Streaks — non-monetary progress and competitive-ranking features described further in Section 14.
- Personal Question Authoring — the ability to write, tag, and optionally submit personal questions for potential inclusion in the shared Question Bank (see Section 10).
- Saved Questions, Notifications, and Feedback tools — supplementary features to support a User's practice and communication with IASify.
IASify reserves the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.
8. Skill-Based Competition; No Real-Money Wagering; Fair Play
8.1. Game of skill. Battles on the Platform are contests of knowledge, speed, and accuracy. Outcomes are determined predominantly by a User's preparation and skill, not by chance. The Platform does not constitute, facilitate, or promote gambling, betting, or any game of chance.
8.2. No monetary stakes. Users may not wager real money, cryptocurrency, or anything of monetary value on the outcome of any Battle, whether directly through the Platform or through any arrangement outside the Platform. IASify does not currently charge for participation in Battles and does not distribute cash prizes.
8.3. No cash value of virtual metrics. Ratings, XP, streaks, badges, and any other in-Platform metrics or virtual items are for entertainment and progress-tracking purposes only. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash or any other consideration, and may not be sold, traded, gifted, or transferred between Accounts.
8.4. Fair play obligations. When participating in Battles, you agree not to:
-
use any external tool, website, application, second device, or another person to answer questions on your behalf, or otherwise obtain unauthorized assistance during a timed Battle;
-
use bots, scripts, macros, automation tools, or any software designed to interact with the Platform on your behalf;
-
exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended platform behavior to gain an unfair rating, XP, or matchmaking advantage;
-
collude with an opponent to manipulate the outcome of a Battle;
-
intentionally disconnect, stall, or abandon a Battle to avoid a loss, where this is done to manipulate Ratings.
8.5. IASify reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Section, and to reverse Rating/XP changes, disqualify results, and/or suspend or terminate Accounts found to be in violation, in its sole discretion.
9. Matchmaking, Bot Opponents and AI-Simulated Matches
9.1. Disclosure of AI opponents. When a suitable human opponent is not found within a reasonable waiting period, the Platform may match you against an AI-simulated ("bot") opponent whose in-Battle responses are generated algorithmically based on a simulated skill profile. You acknowledge and accept that some Battles you participate in may be against such simulated opponents rather than another human User.
9.2. No obligation to guarantee human matches. IASify does not guarantee that a human opponent will be available at any given time and reserves the right to determine matchmaking logic, including rating bands, wait thresholds, and fallback behavior, at its sole discretion and to change this logic without notice.
9.3. Rating and XP changes resulting from Battles against bot opponents are calculated and applied in the same manner as Battles against human opponents, unless otherwise stated on the Platform.
10. User-Generated Content and Question Submissions
10.1. Personal Questions. Questions you author and keep private within your own question library remain visible only to you and are used solely to power your own Practice Mode sessions, subject to Section 12 (Intellectual Property Rights).
10.2. Submission for review. If you choose to share a Personal Question with IASify for potential inclusion in the shared Question Bank, you are submitting that question for editorial review by IASify's administrators.
10.3. Assignment of ownership upon approval. By submitting a question for sharing, you agree that, upon its approval and inclusion in the shared Question Bank, all right, title, and interest in and to that question — including all associated intellectual property rights — is irrevocably assigned and transferred to IASify. You waive any claim to ongoing ownership, royalties, or compensation in connection with such approved content, though IASify may, at its discretion, provide attribution (such as displaying your name as the contributor) on or near the approved question.
10.4. No obligation to publish. IASify is under no obligation to approve, publish, or otherwise use any submitted question, and may edit submitted questions for clarity, accuracy, formatting, or any other reason prior to or after approval.
10.5. Removal. IASify may remove any question from the shared Question Bank at any time, including in response to a report or accuracy concern, without notice or liability to the original submitter.
10.6. Warranties by submitting Users. By submitting a question for sharing, you represent and warrant that: (a) the content is your own original work or you otherwise have the full right to submit and assign it as described in Section 10.3; (b) it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; and (c) it does not contain unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise objectionable material.
10.7. Feedback and reports. Content you submit through the feedback tool or the question-reporting tool may be used by IASify, without restriction and without compensation to you, to investigate, moderate, and improve the Platform.
11. Content Accuracy; Third-Party Sources; AI-Generated Content
11.1. "As-is" educational content. All Content, including questions, answer keys, explanations, and current-affairs material, is provided for general practice and awareness purposes on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or current relevance.
11.2. Third-party news sources. The Daily Current Affairs Quiz is generated, in part, using publicly available material from third-party news and government sources. IASify does not control, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of such third-party source material and disclaims all liability for errors or omissions originating from those sources.
11.3. AI-generated and AI-assisted content. Certain Content, including elements of the Daily Current Affairs Quiz, is generated or assisted by automated systems, including artificial intelligence tools. Such systems may occasionally produce inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or contextually mistaken content, notwithstanding any internal review processes IASify employs.
11.4. Reporting mechanism. IASify provides an in-Platform mechanism for Users to report questions believed to be incorrect, ambiguous, offensive, or otherwise problematic. While IASify endeavors to review such reports, it does not guarantee any particular response time or outcome.
11.5. No liability for reliance. You acknowledge that reliance on any Content for the purpose of your actual examination preparation is at your own risk, and IASify shall not be liable for any loss, harm, or adverse examination outcome allegedly caused by inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete Content.
12. Intellectual Property Rights
12.1. Platform IP. The Platform, including its software, source code, design, "look and feel," trademarks, logos, the IASify name, and all Content other than Content explicitly identified as User-owned, is the exclusive property of IASify and/or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
12.2. Limited license to Users. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, IASify grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial educational use.
12.3. Restrictions. You must not, and must not permit any third party to:
-
copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any part of the Question Bank or other Platform Content, except for your own personal, non-commercial study use;
-
scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means to extract Content or data from the Platform;
-
reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Platform's software;
-
remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Platform;
-
use IASify's name, logo, or branding without prior written consent, except as necessary to accurately describe your use of the Platform (e.g., "I use IASify to practice").
12.4. Personal Questions not shared with IASify remain your property, subject to the limited license you grant IASify to store, process, and display that content back to you as part of operating the Platform.
12.5. Trademarks. "IASify" and associated logos are trademarks or claimed trademarks of IASify. All other trademarks referenced on the Platform, including "UPSC," are the property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only, without any implication of affiliation or endorsement.
13. Ratings, Rankings and Leaderboards
13.1. Ratings are calculated using an Elo-style algorithm that adjusts based on Battle outcomes relative to the opponent's Rating, separately for each mode (Whole Syllabus, History, Polity, Geography, Economics).
13.2. IASify may, at its sole discretion, recalibrate, reset, adjust, or otherwise modify the Rating algorithm, tier thresholds, or leaderboard logic at any time, including retroactively in cases of detected abuse, without prior notice.
13.3. Leaderboard placement and displayed statistics (including XP, streaks, and win rates) are provided for informational and motivational purposes and do not constitute any form of certification of skill or achievement outside the Platform.
13.4. IASify reserves the right to remove Users from leaderboards, reset their Rating, or exclude their statistics from public display in cases of suspected manipulation, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
14. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the fair-play obligations in Section 8, you agree not to, and not to assist any third party to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Platform;
- harass, abuse, threaten, defame, or otherwise harm any other User or IASify personnel, whether in feedback, question reports, or any other communication channel;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- upload, submit, or transmit any Content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or infringing of any third-party right;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, including administrator functions, other Users' Accounts, or backend systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform, including through introduction of malware, denial-of-service attacks, or excessive automated requests;
- circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features of the Platform;
- use the Platform for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized by IASify;
- sell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit access to your Account or the Platform.
15. Reporting, Moderation and Account Actions
15.1. IASify provides tools for Users to report problematic questions (through the in-Battle and post-Battle question reporting flow) and to submit general feedback.
15.2. IASify's administrators may review, edit, approve, reject, or remove any Content, and may take any of the following actions against an Account found to violate these Terms, in IASify's sole discretion and without prior notice: issuing a warning; reversing Rating, XP, or leaderboard effects; temporarily restricting features; blocking the Account; or permanently terminating the Account.
15.3. A blocked or terminated Account may lose access to the Platform, including any accumulated Ratings, XP, streaks, saved content, and Personal Questions, without compensation.
15.4. Decisions relating to moderation, question approval, and Account status are made at IASify's discretion. Users who believe a moderation decision was made in error may raise the matter through the Platform's feedback tool; IASify will consider such requests but is not obligated to reverse any decision.
16. Privacy and Data Protection
16.1. IASify's collection, use, storage, and disclosure of your personal data is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
16.2. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy, including data obtained via Google Sign-In (such as your name, email address, and profile information), gameplay data, and any Content you submit.
16.3. IASify takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored electronically.
16.4. Where applicable, IASify processes personal data of Users located in India in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable data protection laws.
17. Suspension and Termination
17.1. By you. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Where an account-deletion feature is available, using it will result in the deletion or anonymization of your Account data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
17.2. By IASify. IASify may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including for actual or suspected violation of these Terms, extended inactivity, or discontinuation of the Platform or any feature.
17.3. Effect of termination. Upon termination, your right to access and use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6, 8.3, 10.3, 12, 18, 20, 21, 22, and 24 — shall survive.
18. Fees; Free Service; Future Premium Features
18.1. As of the Effective Date, IASify is offered to Users free of charge and without third-party advertisements.
18.2. IASify reserves the right to introduce paid features, subscription tiers, or other monetization mechanisms in the future, at its sole discretion. Any such changes will be communicated to Users in advance of being charged, and continued use of any newly introduced paid feature will be subject to additional terms presented at that time. Core features available free of charge as of the Effective Date will not retroactively require payment for access already granted, except as otherwise disclosed at the time of any such change.
18.3. Nothing in these Terms obligates IASify to maintain any feature as free indefinitely, except as expressly stated in a separate written commitment.
19. Third-Party Services and Links
19.1. The Platform integrates with third-party services, including Google Sign-In for authentication and various third-party news sources for current-affairs content.
19.2. The Platform may also contain links to third-party websites or resources. IASify does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service or website, and inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement.
19.3. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that third party's own terms and privacy policy, and IASify disclaims all liability arising from your use of such third-party services.
20. Disclaimer of Warranties
20.1. THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
20.2. IASify does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Platform or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
